On March 10, 2020, I had the honor of interviewing Fred and Ruth Waugh at their home about their relationship with Lonnie Frisbee. In their dining room is a big painting of Jesus that Lonnie painted and gave them. They were 97 years old at the time I interviewed them just before the world locked down. God has created, called, and commissioned you for such a time as this. You were born to release His light in places of darkness, and His hope in places of despair.
There are many ways to partner with heaven in the midst of this global crisis we are facing. The story of revivalist Rees Howells contains keys that can prophesy into our response in the current world affairs in regards to the Ukrainian/Russia war and through the storms of life we face.
I will share several keys in how you can practically partner through prayer wherever you are at to see God’s kingdom come for such a time as this. We will look at a few (not all) of the following keys and specific Scriptures that go with each so that you can be strengthened and activated to partner with heaven and release effective prayers that disarm the enemy.
1. Perspective: Embrace the Perspective of heaven.
2. Posture: Posture yourself according to your Authority in Christ.
3. Preparation: Train yourself to be ready in season and out.
4. Put On: Put on the armor of Christ daily.
5. Prayer: Pray always.
6. Praise: Praise God during the battle. Strategy for War
7. Prophetic: Listen to the prophetic voices in your life.
8.Partner: Partner with the body of Christ and angels.
9. Purity: Do everything in love.
10. Prayer Targets: Pray strategically during times of crisis.

Since I recorded this last week on March 6, 2020, our nation has since moved to lock down mode in just a few days. I will probably have more thoughts to share on this again soon but I also want to share here a story of how stewarding hope in the midst of storms can catalyze the next great awakening.
When John Wesley set off from England as a missionary to North America in the 1700s, he encountered a storm during their journey by sea. While he and almost everyone else were full of fear and unsure about where they would go if they died out there, Wesley was awe struck when he saw a group of Moravian missionaries worshipping Jesus right in the middle of that storm. That one defiant act of going in the opposite spirit of what was coming against them and choosing to praise Jesus and lift His name higher regardless of the surrounding circumstances awakened Wesley to have a deeper hunger for more of God. Shortly after, they made it safely through the storm. Growing in deeper friendship with these Moravians, they later invited him to a meeting back in England where “his heart was strangely” warmed by the fire of God. He now finally had total assurance of his salvation in Christ. Not long later, when he was gathered with his friends worshiping and praying into the new year on January 1, 1739, the Great Awakening was birthed which has since impacted us today.
This story is significant for today because we never know who is watching us in the midst of a storm. We are called to keep our eyes on Jesus and steward peace and hope. We may never know what next great awakening might be catalyzed in our generation from this one simple act of worshipping Jesus and stewarding peace during such a time as this.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7

An unforgettable 24/7 worship session in a Czech castle led by Keren Oey with the Destiny House on June 9, 2018.
Spontaneous worship moment from Destiny House (soaking session) from when we used to meet every Monday night to do dinner and family time together. After Jen shared on the Moravians and their pursuit of God from a place of unity, we began to worship first with just our voices and then with the piano. It was a powerful time together as the presence of God and His love came in the room so tangibly. This moment is from the last 40 mins of those hours together.
