Word for 2026: Radical Surrender
by Jennifer A. Miskov, PhD
God is inviting us to a place of radical surrender; total yieldedness to His leading of our lives.
Radical surrender equals radical trust.
We must trust God to lead us with a cloud by day, fire by night. When His presence remains, we must linger and wait. When He moves, we must follow.
He is inviting to go off the map as we follow His presence, even when we don’t understand. We will be explorers of new territory this year. We are going somewhere we’ve never been before and the only way to get there is follow His Spirit.
He is also inviting us deeper into the Ezekiel 47 waters, where we go beyond ankle, knee, waist, and even neck deep. He is inviting us to enter into the waters of His presence to the place of no return, where we’re in over our heads and yielded to the current of His flow. We must learn to live, move, breathe in another atmosphere, caught up in the currents of His presence. The only way to get to these greater depths of union with Him is to release all control to Him, let go, and yield. The way to remain in this river of His glory is to live fully surrendered.
In 2026, He is inviting us to the place of radical surrender so that He can fully possess us and flow in and through yielded vessels for a greater outpouring of His Spirit and glory.
I encourage you to yield afresh to Him today. Surrender all to Him, even the good things. Dedicate and consecrate this year to Him. Welcome a baptism of fire over every area of your life. Give Him permission to remove anything that would hinder greater fruitfulness. Invite Him to refine and purify the gold that remains. Come before Him as an empty vessel and invite Him to fully fill and possess you with the fire of His glory and love.
Blessing you for an incredible glory filled new year filled with the fire of first love!
